UNAKITE

 

GEOLOGICAL

The name is derived from the Unakas Mountains in North Carolina where it was first discovered.

Unakite is a mixture of pink Feldspar and green Epidote.

 

FOLKLORE & LEGEND

As Unakite is a fairly new gem, there are no records as yet.

 

HEALING

The green colour is connected with healing whilst the pink colour is connected to the heart so Unakite is though to be good for healing heart problems.

Unakite brings a calming energy to the atmosphere.
