A golden yellow form of Quartz, it is found in proximity to Amethyst as slow heating of Amethyst turns it into Citrine.

The yellow colour is because of the presence of iron. The deeper the colour, the more iron present.
FOLKLORE & LEGEND
Citrine used to be worn as a talisman against the plague, bad skin, evil thoughts, snake bites and bites from venomous reptiles.
The first use of Citrine seems to have been by the Romans, around the 1st century BC.

Citrine carries the power of the sun and never needs cleaning.
